Screen Gems has promoted Glenn Gainor to head of physical production as it ramps up production to approximately eight titles a year.
Gainor will report to Gary Martin, the president of production administration for Columbia Pictures, and will oversee all Screen Gems films from pre-production onwards.
He recently oversaw production on Screen Gems' upcoming Lakeview Terrace starring Samuel L Jackson and Armored starring Matt Dillon, Columbus Short and Laurence Fishburne and will oversee production on Mardi Gras, which stars Nicholas D'Agosto and is currently in pre-production.
His credits at Screen Gems include Prom Night, Vacancy and the upcoming autumn release Quarantine starring Jennifer Carpenter as a new reporter trapped in a condemned building.
Prior to Screen Gems, Gainor was an executive producer on various comedies including Strange Wilderness for Adam Sandler's Happy Madison Productions and Deuce Bigalow: European Gigalow starring Rob Schneider.
