Former Paramount Pictures France chairman Camille Trumer has segued to StudioCanal just one week after announcing his departure from the US studio's French arm.

Trumer has been appointed chief operating officer of StudioCanal, reporting to president Olivier Courson. Trumer will take up his functions beginning December 1 and will be in charge of the mini-studio's operations in France including distribution and French and European co-productions and acquisitions.

At the same time, StudioCanal has announced that Rodolphe Buet has been appointed executive vice president of international distribution and business development. His responsibilities will include distribution and marketing of StudioCanal's films outside of the countries where it currently operates - France, the UK and Germany. He will also report to Courson and manage the outfit's international sales partnerships while developing new opportunities, StudioCanal said in a statement.

Buet spent many years in the music business at such companies as Warner, EMI, BMG and FNAC before joining StudioCanal in 2005.

Prior to his post as chairman of Paramount Pictures France, Trumer was COO of UIP in France beginning in 2003 and before that held such posts as CEO of Universal Pictures Video and Vice President of BMG in France.
