UK online film portal FilmOn.com, founded by philanthropist and producer Alki David, is launching competitions for new film-makers.
The site will host competitions for best film feature, best film short, best film and best animation short showcased on the VOD platform.
Selected entrants will have their work seen on FilmOn.com alongside films such as The Shawshank Redemption or Moulin Rouge, and the winners will work with David to develop a feature to premiere on the site in 2010.
'This competition provides a unique opportunity to break into an extremely competitive industry,' David said. 'Participants have until the end of the year to upload their entry for a chance to be a part of our awards ceremony taking place on January 6 and this will really give the film makers of tomorrow the chance to make a name for themselves.'
