Ana Claudia Talancon, lead actress of all time Mexican blockbuster El Crimen Del Padre Amaro, will star in the first Miravista production, Ladies' Night.

Miravista is the pan-regional production company launched last year by The Walt Disney Company Latin America and Admira, the media arm of Spanish telco Telefonica.

Talancon leads a cast that includes Ana de la Reguera (Por La Libre), Fabian Corres (La Hija Del Canibal), Sofia Alvarez (Rojo Amanecer), Hugo Silva (Terca Vida) and stage actor Luis Roberto Guzman.

Principal photography kicked off Monday, January 27th in Mexico City where it is scheduled to shoot for six and a half weeks. The $1.6m romantic comedy is directed by Los Angeles-based Argentinean director Gabriela Tagliavini whose debut feature, The Woman Every Man Wants, garnered several international awards including a Best Director nod at the New York Independent Film Festival.

Based on an idea and story treatment by BVI marketing senior vice president Ignacio Darnaude and a screenplay by Issa Lopez, Ladies' Night follows the lives of two young women in Mexico City.

Videocine, the film arm of leading Mexican broadcaster Televisa and top local producer Argos Comunicacion are co producers.

Buena Vista International holds worldwide distribution rights.
