Jean-Jacques Annaud's animal adventure tale Two Brothers will kick off the fifth annual Maui FilmFestival at Wailea on Jun 16, a five-day jamboree that runs until Jun 20 andincludes a heady brew of outdoor screenings, world-class culinary events andfilm-maker panels.

Two Brothers will be followed by Tod Williams' relationship drama The DoorIn The Floor, whoseproducer Ted Hope will receive the inaugural Trailblazer Award for his servicesto the industry.

Two other inaugural awards include the Maverick Award forpolitical comedian Bill Maher and the Piper-Heidsieck Champagne PathfinderAward for Angela Bassett.

Woody Harrelson will receive the Navigator Award for hiscontribution to the environment and indigenous peoples of the earth.

Screenings at the event include Open Water, Chris Kentis' horror story about scubadivers stranded in shark-infested waters, Jared Hess' high school comedy NapoleonDynamite, Zach Braff'sfamily drama Garden State, Nick Cassavetes' epic love story The Notebook, and Yann Samuell's surreal romancestory Love Me If You Dare.

Other titlesinclude Jeff Balsmeyer's comedy Danny Deckchair, Joe Berlinger and Bruce Sinofsky'sdocumentary Metallica: Some Kind of Monster, and Joshua Marston's drug-running dramaMaria Full Of Grace.
