UK distributor Artificial Eye has struck a two-film deal with Studio Canal for all UK rights to Let It Rain and Julia.

Agnes Jaoui's Let It Rain (Parlez - Moi De La Pluie) stars Jaoui, Jamel Debbouze and Jean-Pierre Bacri. The story follows a rising politician who visits the countryside with her partner and is approached by two acquaintances to star in a documentary about her ambitions. The comedy/drama is in post-production.

Erick Zonca's thriller Julia is in competition here in Berlin and stars Tilda Swinton, Saul Rubinek and Kate del Castillo. Swinton plays an alcoholic woman in present-day Los Angeles who schemes to kidnap her estranged son from his wealthy grandfather.

Jaoui is the Cannes award-winning writer and director of Look At Me and The Taste Of Others.

Zonca previously directed The Dreamlife of Angels.
