The American Cinema Editors (ACE) has set the date for its 65th annual awards show, the ACE Eddie Awards.

The event is scheduled to take place on January 30, 2015. 

The ACE Eddie Awards recognises outstanding editing in ten categories of film, television and documentaries.

Recipients of the honourary awards will be unveiled in autumn.

Captain Phillips (pictured) won the best edited feature film (dramatic) category in 2014.

Submissions for nominations start on October 1 and end on November 21.

Nominations ballots are mailed on December 5 and are due on December 30. Nominations are announced on January 2 2015 and final ballots are mailed on January 5, 2015 and due back on January 21 2015.
