Berlin-based Bittersuess Pictures is lining up new films by directors Christian Alvart, Pepe Danquart and Christian Schwochow.
Pandorum director Alvart returns to Germany to shoot the $2.7m-$4.1m hard-hitting drama Love (Liebe), which is being planned as a Germany-Austria co-production for this year.
Danquart is hoping to start work this year on his adaptation of Israeli author Uri Orlev’s novel Run, Boy, Run. He is directing from a screenplay by Heinrich Hadding, and A Company Filmproduktion is co-producing.
Meanwhile, Bittersuess is developing the drama Santiago, based on a short story by Alexander Osang, with award-winning director Schwochow
