Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures International claimed on Monday (Apr 30) that Marvel Studios’ superhero mash-up actually grossed $6.7m more than original Sunday estimates suggested.

According to the update, The Avengers grossed $25.5m in the UK, $19.8m in Australia, $16.9m in Mexico, $13.9m in France and $13m in South Korea.

It took $11.3m in Brazil, $11m in Italy, $8.1m in Germany, $7.6m in Taiwan, $6.9m in Spain, $6.6m in the Philippines and $4.7m in Hong Kong.

Grosses accrued over a varying number of days depending on each territory.

  • Relativity announced on Monday that its Snow White fable Mirror Mirror added $4.3m from 59 territories to reach $86.4m with China, Japan and South Korea to come.
