Amid a flurry of offers after her Cannes Best Actress Award win for her performance in Secret Sunshine, top Korean actress Jeon Do-yeon has opted to star in Lee Yoon-ki's upcoming low-budget drama Muttjin Haru (which roughly translates to A Fine Day.)

Lee has previously drawn attention at fests like Pusan, Berlin and Sundance for films like This Charming Girl and Ad Lib Night which focus on their female protagonists.

Currently in pre-production, Muttjin Haru is to be produced by b.o.m. Film Productions - best known for films like E J-yong's Untold Scandal and Kim Jee-woon's A Bittersweet Life, in collaboration with Sponge Entertainment, the arthouse specialty distributor which is increasingly involved itself in financing low-budget local films as well.

The project focuses on the events of a single day in the life of Jeon's character, a 30-year-old woman who meets up with an ex-boyfriend.
