French sales company Funny Balloons has had a run on Berlin title Mammuth, which has been a runaway arthouse success in France.
The €2.3m film, which stars Gerard Depardieu, has sold to the US (Olive), Germany and Austria (X Verleih), Italy (Fandango), Spain (Karma), Belgium (O’Brother), the Netherlands (Filmfreak), Switzerland (Mont-Blanc), Canada (FunFilm), Brazil (Emovision) and Australia and New Zealand (Vendetta).
The company has also sold Quinzaine opener Benda Bilili! to France (Sophie Dulac Distribution), Benelux (Cineart) and Japan (Plankton/Moviola).
