Primeridian Entertainment has hired Roger L Simon to write its second feature project, tentatively titled The Future Is Now. 

Primeridian will fully finance the film and company principal Arcadiy Golubovich will direct while partner Tim O’Hair will produce the dystopian drama set in Washington D.C. 

Simon shared an Oscar nomination with Paul Mazursky for Enemies:  A Love Story in 1989 and has written 10 novels.

The company will begin casting in June and expects to shoot The Future Is Now this autumn.

Last week Primeridian announced it had brought on The Stoning Of Soraya M. Cyrus Nowrasteh to adapt D M Thomas’ Alexander Solzhenitsyn: A Century In His Life.
