Singaporean actress/director Michelle Chong’s second directorial outing 3 Peas In A Pod has cast K-pop star Alexander Lee Eusebio and Taiwanese pop star Calvin Chen from the boy band Fahrenheit.
Michelle Chong made her directorial debut with Already Famous, Singapore’s recent submission to the Academy Awards’ best foreign-language film category.
About three Asian students taking a life-changing road trip in Australia, the film will be almost entirely shot in Victoria and Adelaide this March. The film’s budget is estimated at $1.38m.
Produced by Huat Films, 3 Peas In A Pod was previously showcased in development at the recent ScreenSingapore/Asia TV Forum & Market (ATF) event. Singapore’s Media Development Authority (MDA) says it will also be showcased at the upcoming Hong Kong Filmart in March.
