Cineclick Asia has closed deals on Berlinale competition film Tuya's Marriage to Italy and Forum title Ad Lib Night to Japan.

Italy's Lucky Red president Andrea Occhipinti signed with Cineclick managing director Young-joo Suh after viewing a rough cut tape of Wang Quan-an's Tuya in Rotterdam.

'It was a discovery for us - the film is both funny and tender,' says Occhipinti. 'It's an arthouse film with crossover potential - the word 'marriage' in the title is very lucky, and the Mongolian scenery is very exotic. We're thinking of opening in May on 40-50 prints.'

Lucky Red previously distributed Park Chan-wook's Old Boy and Sympathy For Lady Vengeance in Italy.

Japan 's Amuse Inc. producer signed with Cineclick's Suh and senior sales manager Sang-eun Chi for Lee Yoon-ki's Ad Lib Night.

'Amuse has previously distributed Korean blockbusters Typhoon and Daisy, but are also taking an interest in new auteurs,' observes Suh.

Ad Lib Night has also sold to Bir Films in Turkey.
