Bruno Delbonnelwon top honours for his work in A Very Long Engagement in the 19thAnnual American Society of Cinematographers (ASC) Outstanding AchievementAwards in Los Angeles yesterday (13).

It was the first ASC award for Delbonnel, who was nominated for Jean-PierreJeunet's Amelie in 2002.

Delbonnel beat off stiff competition from Dion Beebe and Paul Cameron forCollateral, Caleb Deschanel for The Passion Of The Christ, PawelEdelman for Ray and Robert Richardson for The Aviator.

Robbie Greenberg won the ASC Outstanding Achievement Award for cable movie forthe HBO drama Iron Jawed Angels.

Fred Koenekamp received the ASC Lifetime Achievement Award for a portfolio thatincludes Patton, The Towering Inferno, and Fun With Dick AndJane.

In other awards, neorealist pioneer Tonino Delli Colli received the ASCInternational Achievement Award, Gilbert Cates received the Board of GovernorsAward, and Richard Moore collected the Presidents Award.
