Although the official selection will not be unveiled for a few days, Cannes Directors Fortnight has announced that Gael Morel's Apres Lui has secured a berth.

The film will be a world premiere on May 21 and stars Catherine Deneuve, Thomas Dumerchez, Guy Marchand, Elodie Bouchez, Elli Medeiros and Luis Rego in the story of a woman grieving for her dead son. In her pain, she grows dangerously close to her son's friend who is also responsible for the auto accident that caused his death.

Morel, who is also a writer and actor, has previously directed three features including 2004's The Clan. Directors Fortnight runs from May 17-27.
