Anchor Bay has picked up US and UK rights to Agnieszka Wojtowicz-Vosloo’s psychological thriller After.Life, starring Liam Neeson, Christina Ricci and Justin Long.

The distributor has set a spring theatrical release on the story about a young girl trapped in limbo between life and death and a mysterious funeral director who appears to have the gift of transitioning the dead.

Wojtowicz-Vosloo made her feature directorial debut and co-wrote the screenplay with Paul Vosloo. Josh Charles rounds out the key cast.

Bill Perkins financed through his Lleju Productions and produced with Brad Gilbert of Constellation Entertainment and Celine Rattray, formerly of Plum Pictures.

Galt Niederhoffer and Pam Hirsch served as executive producers for Plum Pictures alongside Edwin Marshall and James Swisher of Harbor Light and Lleju’s Cooper Richey.

Anchor Bay Entertainment president Bill Clark, senior vice-president of acquisitions Kevin Kasha, and Richard Turner brokered the deal for the distributor with ICM, which represents Wojtowicz-Vosloo, Ricci, Perkins and Richey. ICM packaged and secured financing for the film.

IM Global is handling international sales and licensed UK rights.
