Service that tracks and removes llegal file sharing now available to the film industry.

Launched eight months ago, muso.com provides a browser-based interface allowing rights-holders to scan illegal websites for their titles, and then the ability to takedown infringing material.

More than one thousand music companies use the service, including Sony RCA, Beggars Group, Polydor, PIAS, Geffen and Ministry of Sound.

In August 2011 the service claims to have discovered 2.2m illegal files, searching 21.5m pages.
