“We’re thrilled to bring The Revenant to Cannes for our buyers,” vp of international sales Mathilde Aupetit said. “This film is one of the coolest, funniest and scariest horror movies we have seen in a long time, and we know our buyers will love it – it’s a non-stop ride of thrills and action.”

“I’m really excited to be working with Lightning,” Prior said. “Joe [Dickstein, Lightning svp of acquisitions] has been a big cheerleader for the movie since seeing it in the festivals, and has been totally supportive of my vision for the theatrical rollout of the film. I’m really pleased to be working with such great folks.”

Dickstein negotiated the deal with WME’s Graham Taylor on behalf of the filmmakers.
