TrustNordisk did several more pre-sales on Las von Trier’s Nymphomaniac during Toronto.
Buyers include Artificial Eye for the UK, Wild Bunch forBenelux, Gutek Film from Poland, Aero Films from the Czech Republic, and Insomnia from Ex-Yugoslavia.
“We are very happy to be working with Lars and our friends at TrustNordisk once again,” said Louisa Dent, Managing Director of Artificial Eye.
The Nymphomaniac script will be available early in 2012 and the shoot is planned for summer 2012. As previously reported, Stellan Skarsgaard is expected to join the cast. The film is about “the erotic life of a woman from the age of zero to the age of 50.” As usual, Peter Aalbaek Jensen will produce for Zentropa.
At TIFF, von Trier’s Melancholia was screening. TrustNordisk notes that that title is almost sold out and about to open in the UK (Sept 30), Germany (Oct 6), Spain (Nov 4), US and Canada (Nov 11) and Australia (Dec 26).
