EXCLUSIVE: Patrick Wilson stars in the dark comedy that international rights holder Epic will introduce to AFM buyers this week.
Tribeca Films holds US rights to Let’s Kill Ward’s Wife, which charts the misadventures of a group of friends who set out to rescue one of their own from a horrendous marriage.
Donald Faison, Scott Foley, Amy Acker, James Carpinello and Greg Grunberg round out the key cast.
Foley wrote and directed and also produced alongside Wilson, James Carpinello’s Lost Rhino Films and Joe Hardesty.
Epic’s Patrick Ewald and Shaked Berenson will arrive at the market with new materials including a new trailer.
“This movie is a passion project for everyone involved,” said Foley. “We are thrilled to partner with Epic Pictures Group for its release across the world, as we know they will put all their creativity and enthusiasm into the international marketing. The movie is a perverse look at marriage and friendship values that take a sinister turn in a very funny, satirical fashion.”
“Let’s Kill Ward’s Wife is hilarious comedy with a stellar cast,” said CEO Ewald. “We are excited to showcase the film to buyers and premiere our own international trailer and artwork at this year’s AFM.”
“We are thrilled to partner with Greg Grunberg on another fun project,” said co-founder Berenson. “After our recent successes with Big Ass Spider! and Tigers Tail, we are confident that Let’s Kill Ward’s Wife will be another hit.”
