New features by Portugal's Teresa Villaverde (Transe),Germany's Maria Speth (Madonnen) and Bulgaria's Georgi Stoev-Djaky (FlyBy Rossinant) are among ten projects which have been awarded a total ofEuros 3.4m by the Council of Europe's Eurimages co-production fund in itslatest funding session.

The line-up of supported films also includes Dutch theatreand film actress Tamar Van den Dop's feature debut Blind - which waspitched at the Netherlands Production Platform in Utrecht in 2003 -, Irishdirector Tomm Moore's animated film Brendan And The Secret Of Kells, andPolish producer-director Dariusz Jablonski's Opowiesci Galicyjskie

Eurimages also agreed to provided support to 25 distributorsin Croatia, Romania, Switzerland and Turkey for the release of such films asOliver Hirschbiegel's Downfall, Nimrod Antal's Kontroll, HubertSauper's Darwin's Nightmare, Srdjan Koljevic's Red Coloured GreyTruck, and Luc & Jean-Pierre Dardenne's Le Fils.
