Israeli-German co-production is directed by Hagar Ben Asher.

Underlining its continuing appetite for Middle Eastern fare, French sales outfit Films Distribution has taken international rights to The Slut by Israeli director Hagar Ben Asher.

The Slut is an Israeli-German co-production produced by Mark Rosenbaum. Ben Asher is not only directing the film and playing the lead, but also wrote the screenplay. The film tells the story of Tamar, the mother of two little girls. Highly promiscuous, she is unable to stop her sexual adventuring until she meets
veterinarian named Shai (played by Ishai Golan).

“The script is provocative, clever and full of insights on human relationships,” said Films Distribution’s Nicolas Brigaud-Robert. “Films Distribution has been following closely the (work of) Israeli film directors for many years, (and) we feel that Israel and Palestine are today lands of great creativity and talent.”
