International sales agent Nadine de Barros, financier-producer Daniel Wagner and veteran producer Robert Ogden Barnum have teamed up to launch the LA-based sales and financing venture.

Fortitude International is one of at least two new sales entities that are known to be launching at the market in Berlin next month and plans to finance and sell 10-15 features a year.

The company principals said they were in a position to fully finance projects and have access to equity, bridge and senior debt.

Television and mini-series will also be in the pipeline given de Barros’ experience in that world. She most recently served at Aldamisa International where she led that company’s short-lived TV business.

“I am thrilled to be working with Daniel and Rob as we build Fortitude into a full-service international sales and financing company,” said de Barros. “I’m also very excited about our forthcoming slate of projects, both film and television series and miniseries.”

“Through Fortitude International, we have created a company that will provide important services and support not just for our personal slate of films, but to our present and future producing partners as well,” said Wagner [pictured, at right] , who established the production and finance company BiFrost Pictures in 2013. “I’m excited to partner with such talented and dedicated individuals on this new venture.”

“As financiers, Nadine brings us the international market knowledge that is so imperative to us when evaluating projects,” said Barnum [pictured, at bottom]. “Fortitude will be a haven for filmmakers and artists to make creatively and commercially successful films.”

Prior to her stint as head of sales at Aldamisa International, de Barros previously served as vp of sales and acquisitions at Voltage Pictures.

Wagner’s BiFrost Pictures launched at Cannes last year and as reported exclusively on Screendaily recently greenlit the Miles Davis biography Kill The Trumpet Player, which IM Global introduced to buyers at the recent AFM.

The BiFrost slate includes Jake Paltrow’s Sundance entry Young Ones, rom-com We’ll Never Have Paris and The World Made Straight

Barnum is a producer on Kill The Trumpet Player and Shelter and co-founded with Cassian Elwes the financing firm e2b Capital. He most recently served as executive producer on All Is Lost and his credits include Lawless and Margin Call. He has overseen operations and strategy for Benaroya Pictures and Annapurna Pictures.
