The fifth annual High FallsFilm Festival in Rochester, New York, opens on Nov 9 with Stephen Frears' MrsHenderson Presents and closes on Nov13 with Roger Donaldson's The World's Fastest Indian.

All in all more than 50narrative, documentary and short films will screen, among them Scott McGeheeand David Siegel's US drama Bee Season, Cate Shortland's Australian award-winner Somersault, and Jessica Saunders' miscarriage of justicedocumentary After Innocence.

A special presentationfocusing on European female filmmakers includes screenings of Alice Nellis' SomeSecrets from the Czech Republic andTeona Strugar Mitevska's Macedonia-Slovenia-France co-production How IKilled A Saint.

The Susan B Anthony Failureis Impossible Award will be presented to Angela Bassett, Norma Heyman, DianeLadd and Christine Lahti, and the Web Of Life Award will be go to filmmaker andactivist Jane Alexander.
