IFC Entertainment has acquired all North American rights to Catherine
Breillat's drama The Last Mistress (Une Vieille Maitresse) and will be
release theatrically and on its On Demand platform.

The Last Mistress was announced today in the line-up of the 45th New
York Film Festival that runs from Sept 28-Oct 14 and is based on
Jules-Amedee Barbey d'Aurevilly's novel about a society affair in 19th
century France.

'Pairing Catherine Breillat with Asia Argento has produced one of the
most entertaining, witty and electrically charged films in recent
memory,' IFC Entertainment president Sehring said.

'Not only is this Catherine Breillat's most accessible film, it's also
one of her best. We're thrilled to bring it to American audiences and
look for it to be one of her most successful.'

Arianna Bocco, vice president of acquisitions and production, and Liz
Nastro, director of acquisitions and production, negotiated the deal
with Eric Lagesse and Valentina Merli of Pyramide International.
