Rebecca Kearey has been hired as vice president of marketing forUnited Artists, and moved from London to take up her Los Angeles-based postearlier this month.

Kearey will be responsible for overseeing all of the division'stheatrical marketing campaigns and will report directly to UA president DannyRosett and MGM president of worldwide marketing Peter Adee.

She most recently served as head of marketing and distribution atThe Works in London, heading up campaigns for such international hits as WhaleRider and Bend ItLike Beckham.

Prior to The Works, she served as vice president of marketing atIndependent Pictures and as director of creative advertising at Screen Gems inLos Angeles.

Kearey began her career as marketing coordinator at FoxSearchlight Pictures, where her credits include The Brothers McMullen and Stealing Beauty.
