The UK is planning its 13th National Film Schools Week, which will host about 2,000 free film screenings with up to 320,000 children set to attend.

The event is planned for Oct 20-24 in England, Wales and Northern Ireland and Nov 3-7 in Scotland.

Events will be held in more than 500 locations after a launch in London on Oct 17.

Films screening include Juno, Kung Fu Panda, The Kite Runner, Arctic Tale, Persepolis, Happy-Go-Lucky and The Spiderwick Chronicles.

Film-makers holding masterclasses will include Kevin Macdonald, Stephen Frears and Abi Morgan.

Organised by Film Education, National Film Schools Week has patrons including Richard Attenborough.
