Jinoh Park’s Should’ve Kissed will open the Los Angeles event, which has announced the inauguration of its programme in collaboration with its New York branch.

KAFFLA will showcase four feature-length narrative and documentary films along with 13 short films. A centrepiece programme will celebrate the 20th anniversary of the LA Riots with documentaries portraying the perspective of the second generation Korean-American.

“We are proud to showcase, nurture, and support the best of contemporary independent films in the heart of Los Angeles,” KAFFLA director KJ Park said. “We aim to celebrate the diversity and vibrancy of multi-cultural Los Angeles with a series of exceptional programs that highlight the Korean-American experience.”

The festival runs from Aug 9 to 11 at the Korean Cultural Center in Los Angeles. For further information visit the official website.
