Top brass at the Dallas International Film Festival also confirmed that Josh Radnor’s previously announced Liberal Arts will play as the opening night screening, while Todd Louiso’s Hello I Must Be Going and Marius A Markevicius’ The Other Dream Team earn Centerpiece slots.

Linney will take part in an on-stage interview on Apr 21 followed by a screening of You Can Count On Me, one of three films that earned her an Oscar nomination alongside The Savages and Kinsey.

She stars in the Showtime cable hit The Big C and her feature credits include The Squid And The Whale, The Truman Show and Mystic River.

“Laura Linney is a true star of the stage and screen – a star whose light shines brighter as each year passes,” Dallas Film Society artistic director James Faust said. “She is an actress who consistently delivers powerful performances that never fail to bring you into the heart of her character.”

The festival is scheduled to run from Apr 12-22.
