Richard Linklater will start shooting Me & Orson Welles in England (Pinewood Studios and London locations), the Isle of Man and New York from February 24.
Zac Efron and Claire Danes lead the ensemble cast for the coming-of-age romantic comedy set in the theatre world. The story follows a teenager who finds a minor role in a 1937 play directed by the young Orson Welles. The cast also features Christian McKay, Ben Chaplin, Kelly Reilly, Eddie Marsan, Leo Bill, Imogen Poots and Aidan McArdle.
Holly Gent Palmo and Vincent Palmo Jr wrote the screenplay based on the novel by Robert Kaplow.
CinemaNX is producing with in assocation with Isle of Man Film and Framestore Features. Marc Samuelson, Ann Carli and Richard Linklater are producing , with Steve Christian, John Sloss and Steve Norris as executive producers.
Cinetic Media will handle US sales and will share international sales jointly with Odyssey Entertainment.
