Mandate Pictures has closed major territory pre-sales on JonasAkerlund's dark crime thriller Horsemen starring Dennis Quaid and Ziyi Zhang.

Rights have gone to Icon for the UK and Australia, Concorde forGermany, West Video for CIS, and Sony Pictures Entertainment for Spain,Portugal, South Africa, Latin America and South Korea.

Deals also closed in the Middle East (Gulf), Turkey (Fida), Taiwan(Long Shong), and the Philippines (Viva).

Quaid will play a grieving detective who has grown distant fromhis two young sons and discovers he shares a shocking connection with thesuspects in a chain of serial killings linked to the mythical Four Horsemen ofthe Apocalypse.

Zang plays a dangerous and manipulative woman who may hold the keyto the killings. David Callaham wrote the screenplay.

The project marks Mandate's first collaboration with Michael Bay'sPlatinum Dunes and Radar Pictures.

Platinum's Bay, Brad Fuller and Andrew Form are producing andMandate's Joe Drake and production chief Nathan Kahane serve as executiveproducers with Radar's Ted Field and Joe Rosenberg. Nicole Brown and KelliKonop are overseeing the project for Mandate.
