Cillian Murphy is poised to star in $9.4 million dark comedy Perrier's Bounty, scripted by Mark O'Rowe (Intermission) and directed by Ian Fitzgibbon.

A co-production between Stephen Woolley and Elizabeth Karlsen's Number 9 Films and Alan Moloney's Parallel, the film will shoot in Spring 2008. Intandem is handling sales.

Perrier's Bounty is one of a number of new projects being pushed Number 9's slate.

In pre-production is Son of Eurovision, a feature documentary about the Junior Eurovision Song Contest being directed by Johnson (Holiday Around My Bedroom). Shooting is scheduled to start in June 2007.

Miguel Arteta's Together, in development with Fox Searchlight, is a gentle satire based in concept on Lukas Moodysson's Tillsammans and is set in LA.

Other development projects include We Want Sex, a social comedy scripted by Billy Ivory (Common as Muck, Faith), based on the real events surrounding the ground-breaking Dagenham Ford Machinists' strike of 1968 which paved the way for women's equal pay and Milk of the Revolution, scripted by BAFTA winner Guy Hibbert (Omagh, Prime Suspect)is a character-led satire based on the true story of Castro's search for the ultimate milk producing cow in 1960s Cuba.

Meanwhile, Toby Young's book How to Lose Friends and Alienate People for director Robert Weide starts shooting June 4.

Number 9 has also confirmed that it is to make The Sound of No Hands Clapping, the sequel to How to Lose Friends... which charts Toby Young's foray into the world of screenwriting and Hollywood.

Kate Lawrence has been promoted to head of development for Number 9 Films.

And When Did You Last See Your Father' is screening to buyers in Cannes.

Meanwhile, Julian Schnabel project The Lonely Doll, a co-production with Killer Films, as part of the UK Film Council's slate funding initiative with the Irish Film Board, Intandem Films and Film4, is due to shoot next summer.
