David O. Russell is set for his first TV drama.
According to reports, ABC has given a straight-to-series order to the Oscar nominated director’s 13-part series, co-written with Erin Brockovich writer Susannah Grant.
The as-yet-untitled series, revolving around a private country club, will be executive produced by Russell along with Carl Beverly and Sarah Timberman, with CBS Studios and ABC Studios co-producing.
Russell’s latest feature American Hustle is up for ten Academy Awards, including directing and writing nods for the film-maker.
