Marion Cotillard, Jude Law, Andrea Riseborough and Josh O’Connor have joined Kate Winslet on the hot Rocket Science AFM sales package Lee about Vogue cover model turned war correspondent Lee Miller.
CAA Media Finance and UTA Independent Film Group represent US rights on the project, which was previously set up at eOne and is anticipated to start production in late summer 2022.
Liz Hannah (The Post, Mindhunter) adapted the screenplay from the book The Lives Of Lee Miller by Miller’s son Anthony Penrose, who along with the Miller estate has granted the production unprecedented access to The Lee Miller Archives including her photos and diaries.
The story follows Miller as a photojournalist for Vogue during the Second World War as she exposes Nazi atrocities at the concentration camps. In the aftermath of a betrayal she confronts the truths of her own past.
Finola Dwyer, Troy Lum and Andrew Mason of Hopscotch Features and Winslet will produce. Hannah serves as executive producer
Heads of department include composer Alexandre Desplat, costume designer Michael O’Connor, cinematographer Pavel Edelman and make-up and hair design artist Ivana Primorac.
