Australian folk horror ‘The Banished’ heads to North America

EXCLUSIVE: UK sales and distribution outfit Blue Finch has sold North American rights to Brainstorm Media for Australian folk horror and Beyond Fest premiere, The Banished, directed by Joseph Sims-Dennett.

Brainstorm Media plans to release the film theatrically this summer. Blue Finch Films will be releasing the film in the UK-Ireland and Australia-New Zealand.

A woman returns to her small hometown to find her brother is missing, which takes her on a hunt deep into the wilderness, at the mercy of a mysterious hiker.

Aaron Bush, Babara Ings and Raphael Sikic serving as producers.
