One Battle After Another’s Chase Infiniti, Sinners’ Miles Caton, Lollipop’s Posy Sterling, Lurker’s Archie Madekwe, and I Swear’s Robert Aramayo have been nominated for the EE Rising Star award at the 2026 Bafta Film Awards.
The five were chosen by an industry jury and unveiled by actor and 2024 Rising Star winner Mia McKenna-Bruce at an event at London’s Savoy Hotel today (January 14). Madekwe, Sterling and Aramayo were in attendance.
Nominees are not directly selected for a single performance, although they will have typically received acclaim in the past year for one particular role.
Madekwe and Sterling were named Screen UK-Ireland Stars of Tomorrow in 2017 and 2023 respectively.
The full Bafta nominations will be announced on Tuesday, January 27 and the ceremony will take place on Sunday, February 22 at the Southbank Centre’s Royal Festival Hall, hosted by Alan Cumming.
Last year’s Rising Star award was won by Alien: Romulus star David Jonsson.
