‘David Bowie “Stage”’

Brett Morgen’s David Bowie “Stage” will have its world premiere at the 77th Berlin Film Festival (February 10-21, 2027).

The film features previously unseen concert footage of Bowie from his 1978 Isolar II World Tour, in support of his landmark Heroes album. Using a three-screen presentation, transparent LED screens and large-scale projections, it is described as an “immersive and sound light experience”.

David Bowie “Stage” is the first title announced for Berlin and will premiere at the festival on February 14.

Morgen previously directed the Bafta-nominated documentary Moonage Daydream which followed Bowie’s rise to fame and had its world premiere at Cannes Film Festival in 2022.

The director will also participate in the European Film Market’s talks programme, with further details to be announced in the coming weeks.

David Bowie “Stage” is a collaboration between Morgen, Rob Hallett’s Wonderworld and the David Bowie Estate.
