Cinema United has promoted Amanda Martin and Erin Von Hoetzendorff as the exhibiton trade association strengthens its advocacy and engagement with international members.
Martin will assume the new role of SVP, external affairs and grow the organisation’s relationships with partner groups, coalitions and stakeholders central in exhibition business, and oversee the state government affairs function.
Martin previously as chief of staff since joining in 2023 and will continue to serve as a senior member of Cinema United’s leadership team, and lead educational programming for Cinema United’s signature industry events, including CinemaCon and the Fall Summit, a members-only event that takes place on Tuesday (September 29). Along with CEO Michael O’Leary, Martin will continue to serve as a federal advocate before Congress and relevant federal agencies.
Von Hoetzendorff is being promoted to vice president, membership and global affairs. She will continue as head of membership services, a function she has carried out since joining in 2018, and will lead Cinema United’s expanded engagement with international cinema owners.
Both roles are effective immediately and the executives report to O’Leary, who said: “These two well-deserved promotions will allow us to strengthen our partnerships across the entertainment ecosystem, deepen our advocacy on behalf of all theatre owners, and expand our engagement with international theatre owners, ensuring that every constituency we serve has a strong voice within our organisation.”
