EXCLUSIVE: Matthew Shreder’s Concourse Media will kick off worldwide sales talks at AFM next week on the Aaron Eckhart sci-fi action adventure Dominion.
Production is scheduled to commence on Monday (November 9) in Kentucky, with Tony Aloupis directing from a screenplay by Craig McGinnis.
The project blends elements of survival thriller, creature feature and action sci-fi. Eckhart plays spaceship mechanic Nathan Quinn, who forges an unlikely alliance with a ferocious beast when he gets stranded on a hostile planet.
As Quinn fights to escape, he uncovers a huge conspiracy and gets drawn into an escalating battle. Al Bravo and Michael Pizzimenti of Al Bravo Films are producing alongside Ken Korba and Cory Neal. Additional casting details are expected imminently.
Eckhart’s action and thriller roles include 2026 survival thriller Deep Water, Muzzle: City Of Wolves, Chief Of Station, the …Has Fallen franchise, and The Dark Knight. Aloupis directed the 2015 romance Safelight starring Juno Temple and Evan Peters.
Bravo’s producing credits include The Commando with Michael Jai White and Mickey Rourke, Blowback starring Randy Couture and Cam Gigandet; Shrapnel starring Jason Patric, and action thrillers Desert Dawn, Hunting Season, and The Wrecker. Neal’s producing credits include The Persian Version and cult horror franchise Hatchet. Korba produced the upcoming Maze And Control.
“There’s something exciting about a film that creates an entirely new world and invites audiences to get lost in it,” Shreder said. “Dominion delivers that sense of discovery with genuine blockbuster ambition.”
Concourse’s AFM lineup includes Nacho Arenas’s completed psychological thriller Blow The Horn with a cast featuring Ken Leung, Tracee Ellis Ross, Lake Bell, and Dallas Roberts; and Taylor Cohen’s completed thriller Strobe starring Suzanna Son, Chace Crawford, and Mena Suvari.
Adam Sigal’s thriller Parish starring Nicolas Cage, Dane Dehaan and Alexandra Shipp recently wrapped production in Minnesota. Peter Huchings’ romantic comedy Vision Board starring Lucy Hale is currently in pre-production.
