Daisy Edgar-Jones is in talks to star in Tomorrow, And Tomorrow, And Tomorrow, an adaptation of the best-selling American novel by Gabrielle Zevin for Paramount.

Oscar and Bafta-winner (for CODA) Sian Heder will direct the feature and is writing the screenplay based on drafts by Zevin and Mark Bomback.

Temple Hill Entertainment principals Wyck Godfrey, Marty Bowen and Isaac Klausner will produce, with Zevin serving as executive producer.

Set during the video game boom of the 1990s and 2000s, the 2022 novel tells a love story about two friends who meet as children and reunite as adults to create video games, finding an intimacy in digital storytelling that eludes them in real life. The novel has reportedly sold more than four million copies around the world and has been translated into 40 languages.

Edgar-Jones, one of Screen International’s Stars of Tomorrow class in 2020, most recently starred in independent romantic drama On Swift Horses, Universal’s Twisters reboot and Sony mystery Where The Crawdads Sing. Her upcoming feature projects include Chloe Domont’s thriller A Place In Hell, for Neon, Fernando Meirelles’ Netflix drama Here Comes The Flood and Georgia Oakley’s new version of Sense And Sensibility, for Working Title and Focus Features.
