The European Film Academy (EFA) has appointed eight high profile chapter principals for its arts and crafts member chapters.
Appointed by the EFA board, the chapter principals will act as ambassadors and figureheads for their respective disciplines.
They include casting director Nina Haun, cinematographer Hoyte van Hoytema and film composer Zbigniew Preisner.
EFA introduced dedicated arts and crafts chapters in 2025 for casting directors, cinematographers, composers, costume designers, editors, make-up & hair artists, production designers, and sound designers.
Matthijs Wouter Knol, CEO and academy director, said: “The appointment of these first chapter principals is a natural and important next step following the introduction of member chapters last year. Each of them represents excellence in their field of work, and the list of films they have contributed to all stand for the immense richness of European cinema.”
