Laida Lertxundi and Michael Robinson will debut their new work at the Film Society of Lincoln Center.

Laida Lertxundi and Michael Robinson have been named as the first recipients of the Kazuko Trust’s Scholarship Award Grant of $5,000.

The filmmakers will debut their new work at the Film Society of Lincoln Center’s programme Views From The Avant-Garde strand in New York.

Robinson’s Circle In The Sand will receive its world premiere on Oct 5 at the Francesca Beale Theater. Lertxundi’s The Room Called Heaven will premiere on Oct 6 at the Howard Gilman Theater.

Films slated for the 16th Views From The Avant-Garde include Phil Solomon’s Empire and the US premiere of Martina Kudlacek’s four-hour documentary Fragments Of Kubelka.

The event runs from Oct 5-8 at the Elinor Bunin Munroe Film Center.
