Top executives from sales and production outfits HanWay Films, Mister Smith Entertainment and mk2 Films along with Good Chaos and Maven Screen Media producers Mike Goodridge and Celine Rattray, have joined next month’s Screen Summit 2025: Building on the UK’s Global Success. 

Gabrielle Stewart, CEO of HanWay Films, David Garrett, CEO of Mister Smith Entertainment and Vanessa Saal, executive consultant & UK lead at Paris’ based mk2 Films, will come together wtih Goodridge and Rattray in a panel called A Changing Model, to talk about  how sales agents and producers are navigating disruption and a challenging landscape to create strong independent feature projects with international market potential. 

The event will take place on September 30 at BFI Southbank.

Previously confirmed speakers for Screen Summit 2025 include John Friedberg, president, international at Black Bear, Kezia Williams, managing director for the UK and Ireland at Universal Pictures International (UPI), and Zygi Kamasa, founder and CEO of True Brit Entertainment, who will talk about attracting audiences to UK films, identifying trends, and crafting releases and campaigns for marketplace success.

Ben Roberts, chief executive of the British Film Institute,will give a keynote speech.

See-Saw Films’ Iain Canning, Monumental Pictures’ Alison Owen and Ed Guiney from Element Pictures, are participating in a trailblazing producers panel while BBC Film director Eva Yates, Film4 interim director Farhana Bhula and the BFI Filmmaking Fund’s Mia Bays, who will take part in a session discussing the priorities of the UK’s public funders.
