
Manifest Pictures will launch sales in Cannes later this month on the erotic thriller Bulls starring Dylan O’Brien, Lewis Pullman, and Kaia Gerber.
QC Entertainment is financing and producing the story about Danny (O’Brien), who has spent 30 years apologising for existing. As his relationship cracks, he books a last-ditch trip to a hedonistic island resort hoping to return as someone his girlfriend can finally believe in. However when he hooks up with married Ava (Gerber) it puts him on a collision course with her alpha male husband Marco (Pullman).
James Morosini, an SXSW award-winner with I Love My Dad, wrote and will direct Bulls and Roth/Kirschenbaum Films, the production company behind Sony Pictures rom-com Anyone But You, is producing.
Manifest Pictures represents international rights and CAA Media Finance, WME Independent and QC Entertainment will jointly represent US sales. Production is scheduled to get begin before the end of the year.
O’Brien’s credits include the Maze Runner franchise and he has also starred in Twinless, and Sam Raimi’s recent box office hit Send Help opposite Rachel McAdams.
Pullman was most recently seen in Mona Fastvold’s The Testament Of Ann Lee opposite Amanda Seyfried and will reprise his role in Marvel’s Avengers: Doomsday later this year. His credits include Top Gun: Maverick and Bad Times At The El Royale.
Gerber can currently be seen in A24’s Mother Mary alongside Anne Hathaway, Michaela Coel and Hunter Schafer. Her TV credits include Palm Royale and American Horror Stories and she will next be seen in The Shards for FX.
Manifest Pictures’ slate includes the horror thriller A Body In The Woods starring Emma Roberts, and the football drama Baton from writer-director Danny Ramirez with David Beckham executive-producing.
