Screen International can exclusively reveal the first trailer for Avril Besson’s debut feature Marvelous Mornings (Les Matins Merveilleux) set for a Cannes Film Festival premiere in the Special Screenings section on Saturday (May 16).
The film stars former football star turned actor Eric Cantona alongside India Hair and Raya Martigny.
It centres on a woman who drives south to deliver a box of old records to a mysterious former disco dancer that leads her to a Mediterranean getaway where she meets a charming waitress dreaming of freedom beyond the little town’s pizzeria.
It is produced by France’s To Be Continued Productions and Topshot Films. Loco Films has just kicked off sales for the film at Cannes’ market.
