EXCLUSIVE: Metrodome Distribution has secured all UK and Eire rights to Israeli revenge thriller Big Bad Wolves from 6 Sales.

Directed by Aharon Keshales and Navot Papushado, the duo behind genre-festival hit Rabies, the UCM-produced film tells the story of a series of brutal murders, and how they impact on the lives of a vigilante police detective, the main suspect and the father of a victim.

The deal was negotiated by Mar Abadín, head of sales at 6 Sales, and Metrodome head of acquisitions Giles Edwards.

Edwards said: “Aharon Keshales & Navot Papushado have conjured up one of the most fiendishly intense, elegantly made and wittiest thrillers in years. They’re poised to become major filmmakers on the world stage and we’re elated to present this masterful film to the UK.”

Other recent Metrodome acquisitions include Justin Edgar’s teen comedy We Are The Freaks, Lukas Moodysson’s graphic novel adaptation We Are The Best! (Vir Ar Bast), and Hans Petter Moland’s action-comedy The Prize Idiot, snatched up during the Marche du Film in Cannes last month.
