Sony Pictures Entertainment has appointed Nicholas Weiss svp of creative advertising.
Weiss will oversee creative advertising campaigns for, among others, the untitled film from Cameron Crowe and the 24th James Bond adventure, both set for release in 2015.
He most recently served as creative director at Vibe Creative LA, working on such campaigns as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, 22 Jump Street, Maleficent, The Amazing Spider-Man 1 and 2, Ted and Django Unchained.
Weiss will report to the studio’s president of theatrical marketing Dwight Caines and president of worldwide Creative Advertising Michael Pavlic.
Prior to Vibe Creative, Weiss worked as an editor at Create Advertising Group, where he helped launch various marketing campaigns for District 9, Star Trek, Iron Man 2 and Michael Jackson’s This Is It.
