‘Reawakening’ with Jared Harris, Juliet Stevenson, Erin Doherty lands North American deal

EXCLUSIVE: Level 33 Entertainment has acquired North American rights out of the market at Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) to Reawakening, the psychological thriller starring Jared Harris, Juliet Stevenson, and Erin Doherty.

Bafta-nominated writer-director Virginia Gilbert’s second feature follows a couple who respond differently when a young woman appears on their doorstep purporting to be their daughter who went missing as a 14-year-old ten years prior. While the mother is overjoyed, the father suspects the woman is not who she claims to be.

Reawakening premiered at Dublin International Film Festival in 2024 and opened in the UK through Signature. It is produced by Gilbert, and Barry Castagnola of Rustle Up Productions. Lucette Walters of Little Light Film Productions and Harris served as executive producers.

Level 33 president and CEO Andreas Olavarria said the film “delivers a thrilling story with outstanding performances from a talented cast”. Olavarria and Taryn Procsal negotiated the deal with Sofia Neves and Maya Amsellem of WestEnd Films on behalf of the filmmakers.
