The Sundance Channel is to broadcast the Britannia Awards to viewers in Europe and Asia on December 17.

Hosted by British actor Stephen Fry, this year’s Britannia Awards honoured took place on November 4 in LA, with recipients including Ridley and Tony Scott, Christopher Nolan, Michael Sheen and Betty White.

Organised by BAFTA/LA, the awards celebrate the achievements of individuals and companies who have dedicated their careers or corporate missions to advancing the entertainment arts.

The Sundance channel, owned by Rainbow Media Holdings, recently launched in Poland, France, the Netherlands, Belgium, Singapore and Korea, as well as having around 40 million subscribers in the U.S.
